I spent the summers of my college years working in Yellowstone National Park. We had to walk over a hill to get breakfast. Often it was foggy in the early morning and sometimes a dark shadow would materialize into a bison. They are unpredictable and extremely dangerous animals so the the unexpected presence of the beast was not a welcome surprise. The power and massiveness of the bison was very apparent to me. I wanted to portray those characteristics in my sculpture "Range Roamer".
2010 is the 15th year that I have been working full time as a sculptor. I have met so many wonderful people through art!. I think this is one of the things for which I am most grateful. I am also very privileged to be able to work in my shop and express my feelings and observations through my art.
